Our Home The Antiques Storehouse is located within Storehouse 9 in the major tourist site of Portsmouth Historic Dockyard. Entrance to this area is free to the general public.
Built in 1782, Storehouse 9 is a Grade I Listed building and was originally used to store supplies for the Royal Navy. This fine Georgian building has a grand arched colonnade, and its floor is made from 18th century captured French ships. It is in a row of three almost identical buildings, with Storehouses 10 & 11 being occupied by the separate Royal Naval Museum.
We occupy the entire ground floor giving a sales area of 6,000 sq. feet of internal space, with an additional 3,000 sq. feet of covered colonnades, this making us the largest antiques centre on the South coast. Wheelchair access throughout, with disabled toilets and baby change facilities.
Our Stock We principally trade in fine antiques furniture - from early English oak to Arts and Crafts pieces, maritime items, militaria and silverware though all genres are normally covered. Just phone if you are looking for something specific. In addition we have an eclectic mix of contemporary furniture and collectables enabling the visitors to form the core of a complete interior design solution as well as an extensive art gallery of antique and contemporary oils, water colours and etchings. Our Tea Room We also host the Georgian Tea Rooms, a contemporary English affair with fine teas, coffees and
